"#deadboycatfilmsexyselfiesuccessquotesgalway", 2017, dimensions variable (close-up). The piece is a composite charcoal drawing compromised of selfies/videos and images submitted via email to the artist and 126 Gallery (Galway), combined with images researched from various social media channels. The result is an intersecting drawing across the gallery space, that confronts the viewer with the images of and about Galway that we´ve chosen to share online. A fragmentary image that swirls from the fantastical to the picturesque and back again. This exhibition was kindly supported by Ester Lindahl Foundation & the Arts Council Ireland Project Award.
